Founder April Whitney

Hi, I'm April Whitney

I love partnering with authors to bring their stories to the world. I've had the pleasure to work with authors as diverse as Vice President Kamala Harris, rock photographers Mick Rock, Jim Marshall, and Lauren Dukoff, internet celebrities Grumpy Cat and Boo: The World's Cutest Dog, Jeffrey Brown's Eisner Award-winning Star Wars series, memoirs from entertainers Craig Ferguson, Aasif Mandvi, and Gunnar Hansen (Texas Chain Saw Massacre's Leatherface), calls-to-action from The Natural Resource Defense Council and Outdoor Afro, perennial holiday gifts The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook and What's Your Poo Telling You? , and the whirlwind bestselling children's book,

A Day in the Life of  Marlon Bundo

I've worked on creative publishing with international brands such as Disney, Pixar, Studio Ghibli, LEGO, NPR, HBO, Showtime, DC Comics, Marvel Comics and We Rate Dogs (I rate them 14/10).

While it may *seem* like I'm always working — when not writing, pitching or networking, I can be found on one of my vintage Vespas/Lambrettas, at a garage rock concert or vinyl record swap, fixing-up my untouched 1941 home, or exploring with my terrier/office assistant, Jinx

About Lit with Whit

After more than a dozen years working in-house for publishers such as Chronicle Books and IDG Books I started Lit with Whit to use my skills, experience, and relationships to benefit authors directly.

Just as no two books are the same, so goes book promotion.

Let's identify the right approach to spotlight your work, so you can find your audience.
