Local Enthusiasm for All-Ages Comics Convention

Cape & Cowl Comics in Oakland, CA hosted their 4th annual comics arts convention and scored a great segment on KTVU, the Bay Area FOX affiliate. A week ahead of the event, the Saturday morning show interviewed shop owner Eitan Manhoff in-studio to discuss what attendees could anticipate. With over 175 invited authors, artists, and creators, including internationally known luminaries such as Gene Luen Yang, Patrick Horvath, Pornsak Pichetshote, Mariko Tamaki, Tini Howard, and Babs Tarr, there was something to excite every type of reader. Eitan brought along some con-exclusives merchandise to show-off and talked about fun community aspects of the show including panel presentations and a children's area.

The segment went so well, the station ran it again the following week, the morning of the convention. A great two-for-one media hit!
